Ranch Run
Ranch Runs are supported by Colorado CattleWomen as opportunities to promote beef in our local communities. 5K Ranch Runs have been held through our local affiliates across the state as fun, family-friendly events featuring beef on the menu and as prizes. Often, Ranch Runs are held as "poker runs" where the participants pick a card from each station, and the best hand at the end of the race wins a prize!
If your group has hosted a ranch run, please email details to [email protected]!

Routt County Cattlewomen hosted their 4th Annual 5k Poker Run on Sunday, October 2, 2022. This fun event began at the historic, centennial ranch owned and operated by Don & Judy Sherrod and end at the multi-generational ranch of Doc & Marsha Daughenbaugh. The event is a fun, family run (not race!) whereas the participant draws a poker card at each kilometer, culminating at the finish with a fifth and final card. Whoever holds the best poker hand wins a bundle of free, locally produced, cattlewoman produced beef.
